Why do you think long distance companies only advertise state-to-state rates?

The answer is simple: they don't want to give up their huge profits on their in-state rates where a higher percentage of total calls are actually made! 

Just for the record, for new client accounts effective September 15, 2002, GLOBALnet TeleManagement charges 6.9¢ per minute for all in-state calls.
